Selling Concessions in Our Parks

General Information


A City permit is required to sell items within a City of Bowie park. A concession permit can only be issued upon verification of:

  • A valid City Peddler's Permit, required only for Mobile Concession Permit and Allen Pond Mobile Concession Permit, issued through the City of Bowie Code Compliance Office, and
  • A valid Prince George's County Health Department Permit

Permit Types


The following are the permits that can be applied for:
  • Concession Facility Permit (Daily)-

    This permit is for use of either the Blacksox Park Concession Facility or Church Road Park Concession Facility on a single day.
  • Concession Facility Permit (Annual)-

    This permit is for use of either the Blacksox Park Concession Facility or Church Road Park Concession Facility on season basis.
  • Concession Stand Permit-

    This permit is issued for groups seeking to sell concessions from a temporary location within a City park on a single day.
  • Mobile Concession Permit (Limited to two per year)-

    This permit is issued to the owner of a mobile (vehicle) concession truck on an annual basis.
  • Allen Pond Park Mobile Permit -

    This permit is issued to only one mobile (vehicle) concession truck on an annual process, through a competitive bid process.

Permit Fees


Resident Applicant:

  • Concession Facility (Daily)- $25 Permit Fee; $250 Security Deposit
  • Concession Facility (Annual)- $250 Permit Fee; $250 Security Deposit
  • Park Concession Stand (Daily)- $25 Permit Fee; $100 Security Deposit
  • Mobile Concessionaires Permit (Annual)- $300
  • Allen Pond Park Mobile Concession Permit - Bid Award

Non-resident Applicant:

  • Concession Facility (Daily)- $50 Permit Fee; $250 Security Deposit
  • Concession Facility (Annual)- $500 Permit Fee; $250 Security Deposit
  • Park Concession Stand (Daily)- $50 Permit Fee; $100 Security Deposit
  • Mobile Concessionaires Permit (Annual)- $300
  • Allen Pond Park Mobile Concession Permit - Bid Award
